OSRA participates as Technical Partner in MOIG Regional Workshop

In the coming days OSRA will be the Technical Partner for the MOIG annual Regional Workshop, which will take place in Bizerthe between 25-27 May 2016. This co-operation with MOIG aims to build upon OSRA's active presence in Tunisia since 2008. We continue to build upon our experience, and bring in more international expertise to working hand-in-hand with the Tunisian oil industry and ETAP for the country to develop a world-class Tier 2 oil spill response coordination system.

During this Regional Workshop, MOIG will host a Tier 2 exercise involving the Tunisian Refining Industries Company (STIR), the Merchant Marine and Ports Office (OMMP) and the National Office of Civil Protection (ONPC). OSRA and DESMI Ro-Clean will participate together as Technical Partners. We believe in the importance of drills to strengthen our clients’ response personnel to be knowledgeable with their companies’ contingency plans, equipment and procedures; and to be able to work with others when handling incidents. The first day will be an informative seminar. The drill which will take place on the second day, will deal with Notification procedure testing, Boom Deployment (Containment) - Skimmer Deployment (Recovery) - Emergency Evacuations. Attendees will be awarded a certificate for Participation in oil spill response training.
